Travel with everything you need in order to meet your specific medical needs, just review the following restrictions.

You can board with prescription medicines

 

IF YOU ARE ILL, YOU DON´T NEED TO HAVE A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE, HOWEVER PEOPLE WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRAVEL

  • Diphtheria

  • Smallpox
  • Measles
  • Meningitis
  • Open or bleeding wounds
  • Recovery from recent surgery

Oxygen tanks are not allowed on board, only POCs are allowed.

If you need one, you can transport a respirator, ventilator or a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) for breathing assistance.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Volaris Ambassadors are not allowed to administer any medication.
  • If you need to medicate during the flight and you can't do it on your own, you'll need to travel with someone to assist you.
  • Airplanes are public places, therefore we can not guarantee that it will be an allergen free environment.
  • If you suffer from an allergy to any service animal present in the flight, ask the flight attendant if to change your seat. (Subject to availability).
  • If you require the use of a POC, be sure it comes with enough battery for the entire flight. Remember that there may be delays or deviations.
  • If you are traveling with a CPAP, it is considered as carry-on baggage, therefore it must comply with the weight and measurement policies.
  • Please notify Volaris personnel of conditions required for use in flight, we recommend not using them during landing or takeoff.
  • Incubators and stretchers are not allowed on board
